Incinerator packages

Delham is the manufacturer and supplier for this project-configured equipment. Final capacity, design conditions and configuration are established from verified process data, applicable codes and the agreed supply boundary.

Incinerator packages

Typical engineering scope

  • Design-basis and supply-boundary definition
  • Process and major-equipment definition
  • Mechanical, piping, electrical and instrumentation coordination
  • Code and material review
  • Fabrication, testing and document review
  • Installation and commissioning support within contract scope

ENGINEERING DELIVERY FRAMEWORK

From a defined duty to an operable handover

Each package is treated as an integrated system—not a collection of isolated equipment. Process, mechanical and control decisions remain connected through traceable, reviewable deliverables.

Design basis & simulation

Freeze the design basis, operating cases, feed composition, normal and turndown capacity, ambient conditions and battery limits before detailed engineering. Mass-and-energy balances, equipment sizing and hydraulics are developed from verified inputs.

Process safety & operability

Review PFDs and P&IDs; support HAZID and HAZOP; define cause-and-effect, ESD and blowdown requirements, maintainability access and control philosophy to reduce commissioning and operating risk.

Multidiscipline engineering control

Coordinate process, mechanical, piping, structural, electrical and instrumentation deliverables through a document register, interface control, comment resolution and disciplined change tracking through final and as-built issue.

Technical procurement & fabrication

Prepare datasheets and material requisitions, evaluate bids, review vendor documents, define ITP hold and witness points, control materials, inspect fabrication and track NCRs to closure.

Commissioning readiness

Define mechanical completion, pre-commissioning check sheets, test packs, cleaning and leak testing, loop and logic verification, start-up support and performance testing.

Lifecycle handover

Compile the manufacturing data record, operating and maintenance manuals, recommended spares, lessons learned and a traceable handover dossier for the operator.

The operating figures below are vendor-published examples for particular liquid-waste systems. The regulatory row applies only to covered U.S. RCRA hazardous-waste incinerators; none of these numbers is a universal design guarantee.

Published values apply only to the cited equipment family and stated scope; they are not universal code limits or a Delham rating/guarantee.
ParameterPublished valueReference basisApplicability / limit
Liquid-waste combustion residence time1.5–2.0 sPublished example for a particular liquid-waste incineration/oxidation system.Residence time must be defined at the applicable temperature and effective combustion volume; feed atomization and mixing matter.
Liquid-waste combustion temperature900–1,200 °CPublished operating example for the same application-specific system family.Waste chemistry, halogens, salts, calorific value, excess air and downstream treatment determine the required conditions.
Published system DRE example>99.9999%Vendor-published performance for a specific specialty system; it is not an across-the-board value.DRE must be tied to named compounds, feed, sampling/test method and operating envelope; emissions controls remain a separate duty.
